We won&#8217;t give the HSTs a unit number, we&#8217;ll just call them HSTs \ud83d\ude42 Mine looked like this:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jofigure.com\/quilts\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/two-hst.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-151\" title=\"two-hst\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jofigure.com\/quilts\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/two-hst.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"211\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a>I suggest using post it notes to label all your bits and pieces from here on in so that you don&#8217;t get confused. Now you need to sew two of the triangles of background fabric together to make this psuedo HST thing. You&#8217;ll need two of them and we&#8217;ll call them Unit #1.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jofigure.com\/quilts\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/two-unit1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"271\" height=\"142\" \/><\/p>\n<hr width=\"25%\" \/>\n<p>While we&#8217;re working with those triangles let&#8217;s use the other ones up too. You&#8217;ll need to sew two triangles to a 3&#8243; square of background fabric like below.
