Trim them up to be 3&#8243; square. Mine looked like this:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.jofigure.com\/quilts\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/HST1-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-168 alignnone\" title=\"HST1-2\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jofigure.com\/quilts\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/HST1-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"125\" height=\"122\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now make 12 HSTs using Color #1 and your background fabric. Trim them up to be 3&#8243; square as well. Mine looked like this:<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jofigure.com\/quilts\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/HSTbg-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"125\" height=\"111\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Lastly, make 12 HSTs using Color #2 and your background fabric and square them up to 3&#8243; also.
