Step 1 – Cutting

Here are the fabrics I’ll be working with:

Cutting Instructions For The Three Color Version
(I used a 1/2 yard of background fabric and a fat quarter each of colors 1 and 2)

Background Fabric (Gold For Me)

  • Four squares that are 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
  • Four squares that are 3″ x 3″
  • Two strips that are 3″ x 15 1/2″
  • Six squares that are 3″ x 3″ — then cut them in half once diagonally
  • Twelve squares that are 3 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ for HSTs*

Color #1 (Burgandy For Me)

  • Ten squares that are 3″ x 3″
  • Ten Squares that are 3 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ for HSTs*

Color #2 (Green For Me)

  • Ten squares that are 3″ x 3″
  • Ten squares that are 3 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ for HSTs*

* I use the method described as Method #1 at QuiltPox.com to make my HSTs, if you use a different method, your cutting instructions may vary.
